System C® series
Air-to-water heat pumps for great projects – for heating requirements of between 20 and around 500 kW
If you are planning big, System C® is exactly the right heat pump for your project!
System C® air-to-water heat pumps for the high output range with natural refrigerant
System C® is suitable for solutions in all areas where high outputs are required and is ideal for use in demanding environments, where it ensures high reliability and maximum efficiency. In addition to retail applications, apartment buildings, commercial properties, building networks and districts can also be operated in a future-proof and highly efficient manner with System C® – both in new and existing buildings.
Intelligently networked and controllable, the system can be connected to the central building management system in all configurations and is compatible with all building management systems.
A System C® heat pump from Dimplex can supply up to 60 kW of heating to a building. These comply with the Low Voltage Directive and are therefore designed for the simple heating of residential buildings, commercial or mixed-use properties and smaller neighbourhoods.
System C® is reversible and up to 14 units can be connected in parallel to provide up to 500 kW.
The range is complemented by well-thought-out service offerings, intelligent control and the associated planning services, as well as customised hydraulic solutions.

Highlights of the new System C® series
Great performance
With the master controller, up to 14 heat pumps can be operated in parallel and provide heating capacities of up to approximately 500 kW. The heat pump manager takes over the central control of heating, cooling, domestic hot water and swimming pool water preparation, operates up to three heating and cooling circuits and, if necessary, releases additional heat and cooling generators. Step-by-step commissioning via EasyOn is carried out using intuitive touch operation on the colour display.
Excellent efficiency
Highly efficient heating, cooling and hot water preparation in new and existing buildings: in conjunction with existing radiators, the heat pump achieves efficiency values at 55°C that older heat pumps only achieved in conjunction with underfloor heating at 35°C. High flow temperatures of up to 70°C enable hot water temperatures above 60°C all year round. The low cooling water temperature of up to 7°C flow enables dehumidification in addition to pure cooling operation. The capacity-controlled components, compressor, circulation pumps and EC fans, are optimally matched to each other in terms of noise emissions and volume flows. The resulting naturally quiet air noise has no tonality even at high power levels.
Outstanding reliability
Sustainable and future-proof: System C® with the natural refrigerant R290 (less than 5 kg) is accompanied by a multi-level safety concept with integrated device components. Comprehensive service packages with an optional warranty extension of up to twelve years ensure even greater satisfaction.
Outstanding flexibility
The heat pump manager makes it possible to integrate existing heating system components such as oil or gas boilers into the control concept. It is also possible to integrate solar thermal systems, wood-fired boilers and a photovoltaic system. The control is carried out via the heat pump manager. Particularly practical: the current electricity price can be automatically read in via the Dimplex Home app, and the heat pump then runs preferably on cheap electricity. System C® is Smart Grid Ready with communication interfaces for flexible integration into higher-level building management systems.
Great design
Modern industrial design with compact dimensions and made in Germany: System C® is particularly weather resistant thanks to the powder-coated sheet steel cladding. The extensive range of accessories allows for different installation locations and areas of application.
Fields of application
Whether in large detached houses, apartment buildings, town houses, office buildings, supermarkets, doctors' surgeries, workshops, shops, industrial warehouses, sports and restaurant facilities, craft enterprises, logistics centres, schools, nurseries, libraries, administrative buildings – System C® heat pumps can be used efficiently in a wide range of applications for heating, cooling and hot water.
Low sound power level
Even at high heat outputs, System C impresses with its quiet, sound-optimised operation. The capacity-controlled components – compressor, circulation pumps and EC fan – are perfectly matched in terms of sound emissions and airflows. The resulting, naturally quiet air noise has no tonality even at high outputs.
High-quality design and durable quality
The compact outdoor unit is barely visible thanks to its flat design – this reduces visibility when installed on a roof, for example. Durable materials such as the powder-coated sheet steel cladding; plastic parts have been avoided wherever possible. The heat exchanger made of weather-resistant aluminium withstands all environmental influences.
Natural air noise
The ultra-modern EC axial fan was modelled on an owl's wing, and its contours and structure were transferred to the fan blade. The result is a low-noise blade with 100 percent speed-controllable volume flows, which ensures flow-optimised air conduction and produces a naturally quiet air noise.
Natural refrigerant
System C contains the natural refrigerant R290. It has very good thermodynamic properties. Compared to conventional refrigerants, it is more effective and efficient – ideal for high inlet temperatures (up to 70°C), which are needed, for example, for renovation projects with radiators.
Advantages for the installer
Easy transport, safe assembly, flexible installation
Compact design
High performance with a small footprint and low height; low centre of gravity reduces the surface area exposed to wind.
Crane eyes can be attached and the base is designed to allow forklift access, making it easier to move the unit; installation at ground level on a foundation or steel structure is possible
Attachment points for crane eyes are closed with covers after installation
Variant 1: connection of the lines at the rear
This variant is suitable if the indoor unit in the house is at the same height as the outdoor unit, e.g. in a plant room. System E is delivered from the factory in this configuration.
Variant 2: front connection of the lines
This variant is suitable if the indoor unit in the house is lower than the outdoor unit, e.g. in the cellar.
