Dimplex Home App: Convenient control. From anywhere. And at any time.
Dimplex has developed an app with which all new Dimplex heat pumps with touch display can be controlled easily and clearly via a smartphone or tablet: the Dimplex Home app. The operating concept on the heat pump and in the app are harmonised to make operation as simple and intuitive as possible. The basic setting of the system is carried out via guided commissioning. This saves the tedious search for the correct setting point.
The touch display is the prerequisite for optimum control of the system via the Dimplex Home app. Together with the optionally available NWPM Touch network card, the heat pump can be connected to the existing router in the house and thus receive, send and save data via the Dimplex Cloud. The system operator or, if desired, additional users, installers and service staff can access the system data quickly and securely.
The new Dimplex Home app allows live access to all important parameters of the heat pump - at any time and from anywhere via the internet. The app's home screen automatically displays the actual system configuration - from heating and hot water to cooling and ventilation. The clearly designed interface with a tiled look makes it easy to make the most important settings on the heat pump, such as setting the hot water temperature. Useful functions such as rapid heating or the creation of weekly profiles can be activated. In combination with the intelligent room temperature control, the temperature for up to 20 rooms can be set remotely via the app. And if the heating is connected to a Dimplex ventilation system such as M Flex Air, the Dimplex Home app visualises and controls the full range of functions from heating and cooling to ventilation.
The new Dimplex Home app monitors the heat pump status and operating data in real time. In the event of a fault, the system automatically sends a message to defined addresses in order to provide assistance as quickly as possible. The app also automatically informs you when a filter change is required in the ventilation system.
Data security plays an important role in software solutions. Access via the app - and therefore access to the Dimplex Cloud - can therefore only be activated directly on the system. This ensures that the activated system operator can manage the rights for other users via the app. All data is also anonymised and stored separately from personal details in the cloud. If desired, the system operator can grant access rights to the service employee or installer and withdraw them again if required. This means they are in control of their own data at all times.
The Dimplex Home app is now available to download free of charge from the Apple and Google stores, as well as from the Microsoft Store for Windows 10.
Dimplex offers a premium version of the Dimplex Home app for professionals - usually installers or heating engineers. This allows the professional to access up to ten systems. The most important device data, the active operating mode and the status of the inputs and outputs are displayed graphically and clearly. The premium version of the Home app also allows a review of the data from the last seven days. In conjunction with a Netatmo account, the room temperatures recorded by the Netatmo thermostats are also displayed in the app. And even the heating curve can be set via the app. The app is also frequently used by system operators who operate several heat pumps or ventilation systems in a building, e.g. a school. It enables the facility manager to obtain an up-to-date overview of the status of the systems at any time.
The premium version of the Dimplex Home app can be activated within the app for a one-off payment of 9.99 euros.
